These 70's Knitwear Catalogues Are Amazingly BAD!
The University of Southampton knitting refrence library has just gone online, and to say it's archive is full of hilariously dated looking fashion is an understatement!
They have posted over 300 original knitting books dating back to 1849, but it's fair to say that the patterns released during the 1970's REALLY caught our eye!
With such amazing looking looks as the knitted vest with belt, to the balaclava with matching scarf, these journals highlight yet again why the 70's are often described as the decade that style forgot!
Have a look for yourself, you may even be inspired to get out your mum's old knitting needles and have a go at making some of these stylish sweaters yourself!
