The Terrible Accident That Left A 13-Year-Old Aussie Boy Dead In The QVB
The 13-year-old boy who fell to his death in a Sydney shopping centre has been named as Archie Hunt.
The Tamworth teen was with his father and sister at the Queen Victoria Building when he fell down several storeys of an internal stairwell while trying to slide down the bannister on Sunday afternoon.
He was taken to the Sydney Children's Hospital with severe head injuries and later died.
The young teenager attended Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School in Tamworth, and the Sydney Morning Herald reported he has been remembered as a "beautiful, much-loved boy".
A NSW Police spokeswoman told SMH: "Obviously there was no crime committed here, it seems it was just an accident."
A report is being prepared for the coroner after shocking CCTV footage was captured of his fall.
