Study Says Women Should Be Allowed To Nap To Work
The hustle and bustle of a busy week can leave anyone tired. But according to a study, released by the New York Times, women actually require more sleep than men.
The study has lead many to suggest women should be allowed to take a nap at work to catch up on those extra z's. It would not only benefit the worker, but it appears the company to allow employees a 20 minute nap during work.
Jerome Siegel, director of the UCLA Center for Sleep Research said tiredness can weaken worker's attention spans because all they can think about is sleep.
He claimed after a 20 minute nap, workers wake up more alert and ready to tackle the afternoons tasks. He said the trick is not surpassing that 20 minutes as then it can have the opposite effect.
He also said to steer clear of any caffeine after lunch and make a habit of waking up at the same time every day.
Now, we just need some workplaces to implement these suggestions...
