Reports Meghan And Harry Will Take Royal Baby On Tour
While royal baby watch is well and truly underway, reports are suggesting that travel plans are already in the works for the baby of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
According to a new report, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning on taking their baby on a royal tour of Africa just months after he or she is born.
With Meghan Markle set to give birth any day now, the Sunday Times reported the news, which would mark the royal bub’s first overseas trip, stating that the visit to Africa would take place in the fall and would last about two weeks in October.
The report claimed that the trip would focus on youth empowerment, education and conservation.

Just one week ago, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex asked that you kindly consider supporting various organisations around the world in lieu of sending gifts for the upcoming arrival of their first born. Not only did many of you lend your support, you took action. Their Royal Highnesses wanted you to know the impact of your support – the direct effect your donation, energy, and action made! YOU chose to be part of the collective good, and you have made a real difference. Whether a $5 donation, £1000 contribution, offering to volunteer, or spreading the word – you’ve played your part. And on behalf of The Duke and Duchess (and Baby Sussex), we thank you so much. “They hope to take the baby with them but will make a decision nearer the time,” a source close to the royal family said to the publication.
“Potentially, Meghan and the baby could do some, if not all, of the trip.”
While no official statement has been released by Buckingham Palace about the travel plans, they didn’t deny that the trip would take place.
A press officer for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge declined to comment on the reports after being questioned by E! News and stated that “any official visits or tours undertaken by any members of the royal family are announced in the usual way”.
This comes following reports that the Duke and Duchess may move to Africa for an extended period of time to conduct charity work.
“Any future plans for the Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage,” said a statement from Buckingham Palace about the rumours.
“No decisions have been taken about future roles. The Duke will continue to fulfil his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.”
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are expected to announce the birth of their first child any day now. Stay tuned royal lovers!
