Sydney Christmas Kicks Off This Weekend at Martin Place
Something very special is happening at Martin Place this weekend; a Christmas concert that will see Sydney light up in celebration of the most wonderful time of the year.
Hosted by Channel 7’s Mark Ferguson and Angie Asimus, the Martin Place event will see Santa and the Lord Mayor arrive on a cycle-drawn sleigh, and light the interactive Christmas tree.
Kate Miller-Heidke, Justice Crew, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Jay Laga’aia, Australia’s most prolific Indigenous female entertainer Christine Anu, and the Australian Girls Choir will be there to keep you entertained throughout the evening, and there’ll be Santa stockings jam-packed with goodies for $5.
All proceeds go to the Christmas charity partner Variety - The Children’s Charity.
There’s plenty on offer to satisfy your cravings, with MLC Centre food court and GPO restaurants nearby, as well as GPO’s pop-up dessert bar, which will be open for the duration of the concert, offering a variety of food and drink options.
It’s worth arriving early to secure a good spot near the tree and enjoy the live pre-show entertainment from 5:45pm.
