JonBenet Ramsey's Family To Head To Court Over Documentary
After Australia and the world became hooked on The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey earlier this week, it looks like the drama won’t end anytime soon.
The documentary series, made by CBS in the US, pointed the finger at JonBenet’s brother Burke as the killer, although they do say it was potentially accidental.
The theory is that Burke hit JonBenet over the head with a heavy-duty flashlight during an argument over pineapple, with their parents John and Patsy Ramsey then covering up the murder in order to protect their son.
Burke’s lawyer L. Lin Wood has since spoken to TMZ, saying: “I will be filing a lawsuit on behalf of Burke Ramsey"; Mr Wood also told Reuters that “CBS’ false and unprofessional attacks on this young man are disgusting and revolting.”
Burke Ramsey, who’s now 29, revealed in an interview with Dr Phil that the crush of attention was “a chaotic nightmare” and turned him into “a very private person.”
CBS has responded to the claim, saying that the network "stands by the broadcast and will do so in court".
