Inflatable Boat Race Happening At Manly This Weekend
The Weekend is fast approaching (woohoo) and so if you’re looking for something fun to do during your 48 hours away from work, we suggest heading down to Manly.
In case you haven’t heard, Manly beach has just been voted the best beach in Australia, but if that isn’t reason enough to head to the Northern Beaches, this weekend the 14th annual Manly Inflatable Boat Race will be taking place in the sun and surf of this beautiful location.
That’s right, on Sunday 25th February we’re being encouraged to grab our most fashionable inflatables, chuck on some quirky fancy dress and head to the ocean to participate in this charity race.
The day starts out at 10:30am at Shelly Beach where participants take to the water in their crazy makeshift boats and paddles (we’re talking things like flamingoes, thongs, toucans etc.) and complete the one kilometre course back to Manly.
After you’ve completed the race you can head on over to Hotel Steyne where you’ll be able to sink your teeth into a sausage sanga for lunch and prizes will be given out to the winners.
Tickets are available online now for $55 or alternatively they can be purchased on the day for $60. All proceeds of the event go to Tour de Cure, and Australian cancer research foundation.
Registration for the race will start at 8:45am near the Manly Life Saving Club.
See you there for some fun in the sun!
