Dad Installs Camera In Attic, Makes Terrifying Discovery
One family has found themselves living in a real-life horror movie after footage from a secret attic camera revealed their neighbour was sneaking around their house.
Jerome Kennedy became concerned after hearing strange noises from the roof in the home he shares with his wife and 10-month-old daughter and noticing mysterious drill holes.
After installing the CCTV camera in the crawlspace above where his baby girl sleeps, Kennedy realised that his next-door neighbour, 69-year-old Robert Havrilla, had engineered a false wall in their adjoining attics and was creeping through each night.
The disturbing video showed the older man lying on planks of wood above the baby's room and using the holes he had created to watch the child sleeping.
"The only thing I can assume is he's watching my baby, my wife or myself," Kennedy told US television station KDKA. "He was actually warned two days earlier to stay out of there.
"It's very disheartening to feel violated in this way that somebody can come in and disrupt the sanctity of my home, it's indescribable."
Despite denying the claims during police investigation, Havrilla has been charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and stalking and is due to appear in court on October 3.
"I think it will come out soon that he did not have a malicious intent at all," his lawyer Anthony Jackson insisted.
"I think it was an innocent situation that is getting dragged out a little further than it should, but that will come out soon"
