Co-Ed Baby Showers Are All The Rage
Not so long ago it used to be that baby showers were strictly a women's only event, but now it's become a growing trend to make it a co-ed event which is now referred to as a "BABY-QUE" where men are invited (non negotiable!) to go along and celebrate the pending birth.
Traditionally a gathering of the mum to be's family and closest friends with games like eating melted chocolates in nappies, guess the circumference of the mum to be's waist, a sweep for the guests to pick the babies name, and old wives methods of predicting the baby's sex etc. some food and drink, and presents for the new bub to boot.
But now, somebody thought it would be a good idea to invite the men along too.. and it's catching on!
In what is an online bonanza for themed products and ideal gifts, they are calling them Baby Q's which include personalised invitations, personalised bottles and bottle openers as gifts for guests, personalised condiments etc etc!
If a baby que isn't going to win over your men folk try having a long at the pub instead (AKA 'Pre wetting the baby's head!) or a baby themed bare foot bowls day.
