'Beaches' Child Stars Reunite 28 Years Later!
The film 'Beaches' starring Bette Midler and Barbra Hershey was a huge hit when it was released in 1988.
The story of two friends C.C Bloom (Midler) and Hillary Whitney (Hershey) is a classic tear-jerker as the film details the two characters highs and lows over 30 years before (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Hillary passes away from a rare heart disease.
The film was a box office smash and also included Bette's song 'Wind Beneath My Wings' that was also a MASSIVE chart hit.
One of the highlights of the film are the scenes that show the two main characters meeting as young girls.
Bette Midler's mini-me Mayim Bialik played the 11 year old Bloom, and Marcie Leeds played the young Whitney, and both looked uncannily like how you imagine the actress' themselves looked when they were kids.
Well, after an incredible 28 years the two are now well and truly grown up and have reunited to recreate the film's opening scenes as a tribute to the film's director Garry Marshall who passed away last month.
See, they haven't changed a bit!
