Barry Du Bois Undergoes Tests After Cancer Diagnosis

We were all in a state of shock when Barry Du Bois announced on The Living Room late last year that his cancer had returned for a second time.

Barry said at the time that he wanted to share his journey to help inspire others and true to his word Barry has spoken often and shared candid pictures on social media.

In his most recent post, Barry shared photos of him undertaking a stress test.

Barry joked, 'The most stressful thing about a Stress Test is ripping those electrodes of my hairy chest,'

'The up side is I can confirm I have a heart.'

Last month, Barry shared a photo from St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney.

'The team at St Vincents are amazing but I am bored silly. Being away from the ones you love is the toughest part of this illness,'

'I really hope by sharing my journey I encourage us all to think about our lifestyle choices, healthy diet a little more exercise, mindfulness and self belief.'

After first being diagnosed with plasmacytoma myeloma in 2010, Barry revealed during a segment on The Living Room in October that he faced a second battle.

'In the medical world, I am on the exit off the freeway, there is no doubt about that,'

'I have always backed myself and I will back myself on this and I will have the support to win it.'

'I have the support of my family and my beautiful friends around me.'

After having a round of chemotherapy before Christmas Barry will now undergo a stem cell transplant as well as bone marrow retrieval.

The Channel 10 personality and his wife Leonie are parents to five-year-old twins Arabella and Bennet.
