90210 Stars In Public Spat

Shannen Doherty has taken aim at her former Beverly Hills, 90210 castmate Jason Priestley over comments he made about the actress in his 2014 memoir, insisting his memory of events that went on behind the cameras may have been tainted by a 2002 car accident.

Priestley went public with his thoughts and feelings about his former co-star in the book and opened up about her wild girl antics, but Doherty now claims he might be struggling to separate fact from fiction.

In a radio interview she maintains much of what Priestley wrote is false, adding, "I love Jason, but you know he had a car accident, a racing accident, and I think maybe parts of his memory got altered from that.

"Everybody changes. They have their own perception of the truth. His is definitely different than mine."

The car crash Doherty is referring to took place in 2002 during the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series at Kentucky Speedway, and left Priestley with a fractured spine and a serious head injury.

Judging by this clip from the show, the tensions between the two appear obvious on camera...when it comes to discussing virginity at least!

In his memoir, the actor revealed all about Doherty's bad behaviour, recalling a flight he took with the actress and writing, "I could not believe my ears at Shannen's very first words after she boarded. Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said loudly to the PR person, 'Really? A town car?

You send a town car to take me to the airport, not a limo?' She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn't really tell if Shannen was kidding or not.

"That was just the beginning. I looked on, becoming more uneasy by the minute as she began b**ching about the short notice and the food on board and the temperature in the cabin and everything else."

Addressing the drama in her interview, which aired on Friday evening, Doherty fired back, "Supposedly I wanted a limo, and I've always hated limos my entire life. I find them embarrassing and grotesque. I mean, there are things that would in no way happen. I didn't even go on that jet at that point in time."

She claims Priestley mistook her for "somebody else maybe from the show". AAP
