Ringo Starr Talks Photograph Memoir
Ringo Starr will take part in a live interview event in Los Angeles later this month to celebrate the wide release of his 2013 memoir/coffee-table book Photograph.
"Ringo Starr: In Conversation" will be held on September 25 at the historic El Rey Theatre, featuring the former Beatles drummer sharing memories from throughout his eventful life.
During the event, Starr will be showing a variety of rare candid photos from his personal archives that are featured in the book, spanning his childhood through his years with the Fab Four and beyond.
Photograph originally was released in June 2013 as a deluxe, limited-edition publication, with each copy signed by Starr. The wide-release version is due September 22. The book features various snapshots by Starr, as well as photos reproduced from family albums. The images are accompanied by more than 15,000 words of biographical text penned by Ringo.
"I have always loved taking photos," says Starr. "All The Beatles had cameras…but I'd been snapping away for a while before that. We always had a real photographer around us…But I took pictures of them photographing us -- and I had a unique perspective of that incredible period of our lives."
Meanwhile, Ringo will be back out on the road with his All Starr Band soon for a North American tour that's scheduled to run from an October 1 concert in San Francisco through to an October 31 show in Brooklyn, New York.
