Police Search Home Of Gene Simmons

Los Angeles police say a task force investigating internet crimes against children has served a search warrant at the home of Kiss rocker Gene Simmons.

Lieutenant John Jenal says the warrant was served on Thursday at the Simmons home in Benedict Canyon near Beverly Hills, but emphasised that neither the musician nor anyone in his family is suspected in the case.

Police would give no further comment on the investigation.

Phone and email messages to Simmons' publicist were not immediately returned.

The 65-year-old Simmons has been a central member of Kiss since the early 1970s. His family was the subject of a reality TV series that aired for several years.
