Phil Collins Sang 'In The Air Tonight' With A School Band

Until now, he hadn’t performed live since his retirement in 2011.

But it wasn’t a stadium show, nor a festival appearance.

Phil Collins came out of retirement to perform with a bunch of kids at his son’s school.

Why? Because his son asked him to.

And he didn’t perform just anything either.

No big deal, but he played freakin’ In The Air Tonight and Land of Confusion.

"I was nervous you know," Collins said before performing at Miami Country Day School.

"I've been doing this all my life but how good can it be? How good can it be tonight? All of these kids came up to me yesterday and were very pleasant and nice and polite and made me feel like part of the band."

It's not known if either of his sons are actually in the band.

And yes, the kid playing the drums, just quietly, nailed it.
