We Now Know Why Sex And The City 3 ISN’T Happening
For months we’ve heard rumours that Sex and the City 3 could be in the works, we hoped and we PRAYED - and Sarah Jessica Parker all but confirmed it.
Now, we’re hearing that it’s NOT happening, and there IS in fact someone to blame.
But, if you’re thinking it’s SJP pulling the plug, or Kristen Davis finding something better to do, think again - it’s all down to one actress who has never had anything to do with the series, until now; Michelle Pfeiffer.
Court documents obtained by the DailyMail.com reveal the production fell apart when Michelle Pfeiffer, who never appeared in the six seasons of the HBO show or the two films, decided to opt out of the movie.
The executive producer, Cindy Chuck, had put down a $15,000 deposit to rent a Greenwich village townhouse a few blocks away from the facade of Carrie’s iconic apartment for the movie, but when Pfeiffer pulled out, the owner of the home refused to refund the money.
Documents state there was no replacement lined up for Pfeiffer, which put a huge spanner in the works for the movie.
In January 2014, she told InStyle magazine, 'A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell.'
In 2015 she posted a teasing Instagram of her leaving Bloomingdale's dressed in designer clothes.
She captioned the photo: 'Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I'm under a strict gag order until then.'
Why are you PLAYING with us?!
