The First Trailer For The Dirty Dancing Reboot Is Here
Maybe it's because it's Hump Day, maybe it's because it's the 30th anniversary of the original or maybe it's because of the very obvious lack of Patrick Swayze, but we're having pretty strong feelings about ABC's reboot of Dirty Dancing.
The official trailer dropped online yesterday and it honestly doesn't look like much has changed; they've covered every iconic scene, from dancing on the log and in the cabin to making out in the lake and THAT lift.
Which is, we suppose, a little reassuring but... It's not the SAME, is it?
Even the "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" bit doesn't give us the same goosebumps, and we're not feeling the same sexual ~tension~ between the two leads.
(Plus, that very loud, very cheery voice-over that's straight out of a VHS from the '90s is weirding us out. We don't do that anymore, guys.)
The straight-to-TV reboot is hitting US screens at the end of May - Wednesday 24, to be exact - and is jam-packed with stars; Abigail Breslin is taking on the role of Baby to Colt Prattes' Johnny, with back-up from Sarah Hyland, Debra Messing, Nicole Scherzinger and Katey Sagal.

It's going to be interesting, to say the least.
