The Best News About Ed Sheeran's Aussie Tour Is The Price!
When news first dropped that Ed Sheeran would be announcing an Aussie tour, we went a little crazy with excitement.
And then last night our favourite red head revealed all the details for his 2018 tour down under.
Hitting Western Australia’s Perth Stadium first on March 3, the singer will then tour the country’s biggest stadiums ending in Brisbane on the March 20.
As if that news didn’t already have us excited, when we went to check on ticket prices we were beside ourselves.
Because they are so cheap. REALLY cheap.
While these days it seems to cost anywhere upwards of $160 for your most basic concert tickets, that’s not the case for Ed.
In fact, his most expensive ticket for the Suncorp Stadium show will set you back just $166.80 (for General Admission Front Standing and A-Reserved Seating).
For those unable to fork out quite that much, the good news is that C-Reserved Seating is available for just $75.20.
Tickets for General Admission Rear Standing and B-Reserved Seating will also be available for $105.75.
“The prices are very civilised and that’s come from Ed himself,” promoter Michael Gudinski told the Herald Sun.
“He doesn’t do any VIP packages whatsoever. He hates the idea of charging people to meet him. He comes from the school of Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters.”
Gudinski also has a message for those punters thinking of buying tickets to scalp at a later date.
“Ed’s obsessed about stopping scalping,” he said.
Which means not only are tickets limited to four per sale, there will be a real risk that you won’t make it inside the stadium if you do buy resale tickets.
With Suncorp Stadium known for making note of those tickets being resold, you’ve been warned.
