Star Wars: Episode VIII Has Been Pushed Back 7 Months
Bad news for Star Wars fans. The sequel to The Force Awakens has been pushed back seven months.
Disney announced Wednesday that Star Wars: Episode 8, originally set to hit theatres on May 26th, 2017, will now come out December 15th, 2017.
Disney said it made the move because of the huge success of The Force Awakens during the holidays. That flick opened on December 18th and has made nearly $2 billion globally so far.
The Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is still set for December 16th, 2016.
