Congratulations are in order for Richard Gere, 69 and his wife, Alejandra Silva, 35, who have welcomed their first child together.

Richard and Alejandra welcomed a baby boy late last week in New York, his rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

Richard is already dad to 19-year-old Homer with ex-wife Carey Lowell.

Alejandra is also mum to six-year-old Albert from a previous marriage.

Alejandra announced her pregnancy news in September of last year, after posting a photo of the Dalai Lama touching her baby bump.
