Renee Geyer Put On Bond Over Racist Rant
Singer Renee Geyer has been handed a one-year good behaviour bond over an abusive and intimidating racist rant that caused a hotel receptionist to cry.
According to police documents, the soul singer called the lone female receptionist at the
Adina Hotel in Haymarket Sydney a "f***ing bitch" and a "Tongan bitch" after being told she would need to provide her vehicle registration to access the car park.
According to the facts, she also told the woman "I know who you are, I'm going to come back and get you" and told her "calling the police was a joke, they're not going to charge me"
In court, Geyer apparently turned to reporters sitting behind her several time smiling and waving and said, "Hello" and "Are you the press?"
Magistrate Graeme Curran sentenced the 63-year-old, who in October pleaded guilty, at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday after she was charged with intimidation over her foul-mouthed and racist tirade in September 2015.
