MAFS' Producers FORCED Sam Ball To Cheat With Ines Basic
The controversial affair between Ines Basic and Sam Ball has captivated (and offended) audiences across Australia, but is it... legit?
Rumours are circulating that the Married At First Sight's 'romance' is simply a 'showmance' orchestrated by producers.
Woman's Day report that contentious splits in the past have resulted in ratings gold for Channel Nine, so producers were adamant that it happen again this season.
"They recognised that Sam was the most handsome groom and that would make him a target for the other wives. At some point in the first couple of weeks of the experiment, they told him they would make a swap work if there was someone he liked," a source told the publication.
Another source has reaffirmed the claim, stating that producers held secret meetings with Sam to talk about the 'affair' and how it would unfold, ultimately resulting in a good story.
"They wanted to make them like Dean and Davina from the beginning. Sam played along with the plan because he knew it would be the biggest story on the show."
whispers that Ines is an actress have also been on high rotation.
"I'm told she was always having secret meetings with producers and when the cameras weren't rolling she wasn't as full-on," a show insider revealed. "All the cast were talking about it."
Similarly, another source has claimed that "throughout the whole thing [Ines' groom] Bronson kept saying, 'She has to be an actress.'"
To add even more fuel to the flame, Akila Ahmunett - the woman who dated Sam late last year after filming wrapped - revealed that Sam did what the producers wanted, but regrets doing so.
An Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson has denied these allegations stating: "This is not accurate. We neither would nor could make anyone say or do anything they don't want to."
So is Ines an actress? Was the 'affair' a sham? Did Ines and Sam actually have any feelings towards each other? We have so many questions!
