Man Shot Dead By Officers At Central Station

A man is deceased tonight after being shot by policemen outside Sydney’s Central Station.

Police were called to Eddy Avenue, Sydney, just before 6.45pm following reports of an armed robbery.

Witnesses said the man was armed with scissors and entered a florist before he began 'breaking everything'. 'A man came from nowhere.

He tried to grab an old man, the florist owner, and he was pulling him and yelling at him,' Nathan Yin told

'I said, ''What the f*** do you want?'' and he said, ''I just want to die''.

'The man, I think he was holding scissors and trying to grab police and the police have shot him. Three or four gun shots.'

The man apparently yelled “shoot me” before police opened fire.

A critical incident investigation will now examine all circumstances surrounding the incident.

We will provide further details once they come to hand.
