Jim Carrey Explains Bizarre Behaviour In THAT Interview
You may remember a few days ago, Jim Carrey made headline for his ‘bizarre’ interview on the red carpet of the Harper’s Bazaar Icons Party.
Speaking to Catt Sadler from E! News, Carey seemingly came across as distracted, and even a little incoherent at times.
Explaining that he was only there because ‘there is no meaning to any of this’.
“I wanted to find the most meaningless thing that I could come to and join and here I am. I don't believe in personalities. I believe that peace lies beyond personalities, beyond invention and disguise, beyond the red 'S' you wear on your chest that makes bullets bounce off.”
Now, Carrey seems to have explained the behaviour in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, kind of. (Even this is a bit bizarre…)
“It's kind of an interesting perspective on what came from losing yourself in a character and realizing you're a character who has been playing you your whole life. A lot of people think that I'm kinda going through something — but it's been my whole life. … When I try to go back and play Jim Carrey, I got depressed, and now I don't try to do that anymore.”
