It's Been Revealed Whether Offspring Will Return Next Year
It’s finally official.
Offspring will be back in 2017.
After months of keeping their fans in suspense, Channel Ten have finally revealed the drama/comedy will return for a seventh season.
The Asher Keddie fronted show was a ratings success this year following a two-year break.
Week on week the show averaged over a million viewers per episode, and it’s coming back in 2017 for another ten episodes.
“We’re thrilled that Asher and the team are coming back and our intention is to bring back as many of the main cast as possible, ” Ten program chief Beverley McGarvey says.
“We’ve already got some scripts together for the early episodes. There are stories for everybody.”
Season six of the hit show ended with the scattering of patriarch Darcy Proudman’s ashes. As well as that, we have also seen Nina push forward in her new relationship with Harry Crewe, which looks set to continue into season seven.
“As always, it’s great to be back for another season of Offspring,” Keddie says. “It’s the gift that keeps on giving, and I’m looking forward to the madness of it all once again.”
The Offspring announcement comes on the eve of Ten’s rollout of its full program schedule for next year on Friday morning.
