Home and Away's Dan Ewing Receives AVO After Assault Claims

Former Home and Away star Dan Ewing has been hit with an AVO after reportedly assaulting his ex-wife's new husband.

The AVO was taken out after Dan Ewing allegedly assaulted his ex-wife Marni Little's new husband David Robertshaw during a custody exchange.

The Daily Mail has reported that the 33-year-old actor will face Manly Courts next week after David Robertshaw registered an apprehended violence order (AVO) against him.

According to a close friend, the police were called after the former soap star "refused to give up custody of his son."

"Dan was dropping Archie [their son] off to Marni, but Dave went instead because she wasn't feeling well," their friend, Kate Fox recalled. It's speculated that Ewing refused to hand over his son to Robertshaw without his ex-wife being present.

The dispute between the two allegedly lasted close to an hour before authorities arrived. It is believed their four-year old son then returned home with his mother.

The reported incident came just days before Marni Little and David Robertshaw's wedding.

This isn't the first time Dan Ewing has faced assault charges. In 2011, police charged the actor after he allegedly assaulted Little during a domestic dispute at their Sydney apartment. The incident reportedly left Marni Little in a "distressed state" after "suffering superficial injuries to her arm."

The couple ended their relationship in December 2015.
