Ellie Kemper's Pregnancy Pet Peeve Is One We Can Relate To
Pregnancy can be a wonderful time...
It can also at times seem like your body is public property and no personal question is off limits.
That is what Ellie Kemper is quickly discovering as she begins to show.
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star decided to vent to the Today show about how people - even complete strangers - feel an urge to touch and rub her baby bump.
“Now I’m showing and I don’t know what goes through a person’s mind — a stranger’s mind no less — when they think oh yes, your stomach is something that now belongs to me and I can touch it,” she told the TODAY show.
“It’s actually crazy.”
For someone that isn't overly touchy or affectionate, we can only imagine how far out of her comfort zone it is when people invade her space.
“It was just odd. I’m not a very touchy feeling comfortable person so with someone touching me, I’m like, ‘Ahh personal space violation,’” she continued.
“In a way, I think it’s a nice reminder of humanity, but then I quickly go back to the idea that you wouldn’t do this if I wasn’t pregnant.”
Kemper announced she was pregnant on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this year.
The 36-year-old and her husband, Michael, are pregnant with their first child.
