Chris Hemsworth Is Apparently Bored Of Playing Thor

There’s no doubt that Aussie film star Chris Hemsworth is best known for his portrayal as Thor in the Avengers and stand-alone Thor Marvel films. Playing a character for so many consecutive years can become quite boring apparently and Chris is ready to leave the character behind him.

In an interview done with USA Today he said, “Contractually, right now - yeah, that is it. I’m done,” and “I won’t be playing the character again.”

“It’s sort of a scary thought. This really seemed like this never-ending thing. And now it’s potentially finishing.”

The 34-year-old actor has already filmed his final two appearances as Thor in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 which are out May 2018 and May 2019.

In another interview conducted with the star, Hemsworth implied that filming Thor was a little bit boring since the films relied heavily on using green screens. He told Screen Rant, “Shooting a green screen can be kind of mind numbing and exhausting from a standpoint of just being kind of bored.”

“I much prefer being busy in the thick of it and being visually sort of stimulated. And when you don’t have o act afraid or full of adrenaline or something because of the environment around you is pressing that upon you and is influencing you in such a way, it is the best. That is definitely my, it would be my choice if I could do it always that way.”

Moving on from Thor, Hemsworth is set to star in 12 Strong which is based on the true story of the first US troops sent to Afghanistan after the September 11 attacks. The film is out in Australia in March.
