LAS CHICAS DEL CABLE (The Cable Girls) 

COUNTRY: SPAIN

THE PLOT:

This Spanish period drama is set in the 1920s and centres around a modern telecommunications company that begins operation in Madrid.

It follows the lives of four phone operators as they navigate their way through a male-dominated Spain.

Lead character Alba (Bianca Suarez) becomes involved in a double murder and is sent to pull off the ultimate con-job at the Madrid Telephone exchange.

Here, Alba changes her name to Lidia and she becomes involved in an epic love triangle with Francisco (Yon González) and Carlos (Martiño Rivas).

THEMES:

The sexy and dark plot takes many twists and turns and explores themes of murder, intrigue, domestic violence, sexual exploration, family and money.

THE PLOT:

Gran Hotel (Grand Hotel) is a Spanish drama television series set in 1906 starring Cable Girls' Yon Gonzalez as Julio Olmedo.

Julio arrives at the luxurious Grand Hotel to visit his sister Cristina, who works there as a maid only to find out she may have been murdered!

THEMES:

Investigation, love, the class system, suspicion, intrigue, identity swaps and everything in between.
