Survivor Evictee Jacqui's Shocking Discovery After Leaving

We saw her get booted off Australian Survivor on Monday night but Jacqui Patterson, 50, has revealed she is battling cancer.

The melanoma was discovered after she broke her arm on the Channel Ten show and Patterson has said the diagnosis is her ‘next big challenge.’

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Jacqui said she broke her arm in an unaired challenge against Nicola Zagame.

'I fell quite badly, and they don’t have X-rays and ultra sounds out there,' she told the publication.

After having surgery on her arm in Australia, which required her to have four screws in her shoulder, Jacquie was getting a massage by a sister and a friend when they discovered a suspicious mole.

Jacqui revealed that the mole was discovered to be a stage four melanoma and she will undergo surgery next week.

'My sister and friend were massaging me and they said I had a funny mole and I should get it checked out,' she said. 'Within a week I was diagnosed with a grade four melanoma, so that's my next big challenge now.'

It's not a good one to have, but let's just hope they got it early enough,' she said.Jacqui added: 'They are going to take some lymph nodes and mess my back up a bit, but let's just get it out.'

In a statement to the publication, a spokesperson from production company Endemol Shine Australia said they took Jacqui's injury 'very seriously.'
