David Hasselhoff Arrives On Baywatch Set
David Hasselhoff has made his highly anticipated return to the set of the Baywatch movie reboot.
The 63-year-old actor made his first appearance on the Savannah, Georgia set on Tuesday, wearing all-white shorts, a relaxed shirt and matching flip-flops.
David co-created and starred as leading man Mitch Buchannon in the hit '90s series alongside pin-up icon, Canadian actress Pamela Anderson.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reprises the role of Mitch for the Seth Gordon directed movie, with David making his appearance as a yet unknown character.
The duo recently announced the collaboration after Dwayne posted a video on Instagram earlier this month that showed the pair having a FaceTime conversation.
"Hey listen I don't know if the world is ready for both of us. Are you ready?" asked the former wrestler turned actor.
"Come on, man. Rocking the Hoff. I was born ready," replies David. "He was born ready, says Dwayne, and he adds: "There aren't no bay without the Hoff. Baywatch, get ready world."
Baywatch will be R rated, meaning it will be unsuitable for people over 17 in the U.S., and according to Dwayne will contain elements of slapstick "Anchorman" style humour where the '90s TV series focused more on family friendly relationship drama.
The new film also stars Zac Efron, 28, who will wear the famous red shorts to play the role of Matt Brody, previous portrayed by actor David Charvet. Zac has been posting Instagram pictures of himself flexing his considerable muscles on set to promote his latest role.
Meanwhile, Pamela, 48, who played C.J. in the beach saga, has dismissed the rumours of a cameo in the film. "I don't know. I don't like remakes of TV shows and I kind of want to leave it as is and be remembered for that. I don't know if I wanna go on Baywatch and be like, the old lady working at a counter somewhere," she told U.S. Harper's Bazaar
The Baywatch film is set for release in May 2017 in the U.S and Europe.
