Ghostbusters 3 Is ‘Being Written Right Now’

If Dan Aykroyd’s latest comments are anything to go by, it’s looking pretty damn likely that a new Ghostbusters flick is headed our way.

Best thing? It's tipped to feature the original cast.

Gahhhhhhh

The first Ghostbusters, released in 1984, starred Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the main dudes while Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis were also in it.

Ghostbusters 2 was released in 1989, before an all-female cast version was released in 2016.

Fans, however, have been gagging for another instalment featuring the original cast for ages, and recent comments by original cast member and writer Dan Aykroyd have fuelled that fire.

In an episode of The Big Interview, Aykroyd confirmed that a script was being written for a film featuring the original cast, aside from the late Ramis, who passed away in 2014.

"There is a possibility of a reunion with the three remaining Ghostbusters… It’s being written right now. I think Billy will come. The story’s so good. Even if he plays a ghost," he said, potentially pointing to a theory that Murray could play a ghost in the new film.

We're pumped.
